What Causes Deaths?? Depression!

Diana Diaz
Block 1

While interviewing at South East High School a junior named Yareli Rochin was asked, “have you ever felt depressed?” and with a honest look she said, “yes and it sucks!”. She mentioned that it was a though thing to go threw but that every one goes threw it some time in their life. Yareli Rochin stated, “I sometimes felt depressed and sad because I would feel as if I was always on my own and like if no one cared about me or my life.” “It mad me sad all the time and ended up pulling me away from most of my friends.” Ms. Yareli Rochin stated, “while I was in my depressing moods I always had suicidal thoughts but luckily I had help from the counselors at the school.”
Noemi Martinez another student attending at S.H.E.S. who was also interviewed said, “young teenagers who try to kill themselves while going threw depression feel like doing it because they feel mad about something and think there is no solution for what is occurring.” Ms. Martinez said, “I even know a lot of my friends have gone and are still going threw depression, it sucks because as much as you want to help them they sometimes don’t want your help.” Noemi Martinez is a young girl who is very positive about life a girl who never lets anything bring her back into depression she helps guys and girls who feel themselves falling into depression. Ms. Martinez said, “if you open your heart to others god will open his doors for you.”
A young junior by the name of Nancy Munoz said, “it is very important to help a depressed friend get out of their negative circle because you would not want to see one of your close friends hurt or dead because they felt lonely.” Some tips Ms. Munoz gave were: be a friend, talk to them when they most need someone to listen to them, hang out with them, give hem good advice, show them wrong from right, and most important of all treat them how you would want to be treated if you were the one going threw depression. Ms. Munoz said, “there are many things to help someone with so they can feel more confident to ask someone for help when they need it.” Some girls or guys even cut themselves because they think it will take their pain away but that’s not the solution seeking for help is the best idea. Ms. Munoz stated, “I've gotten some of my friends who suffer from depression into some groups that help each other get out of their whole of depression and it feels good!”
Most girls write poems or even songs, some hear music to even let out their feelings and or expressions out. Its really hard to not be able to help a friend when told they don’t need you but deep down inside they do if you have a friend or maybe even two that have gone threw depression go ahead give them your full attention seek help for them be their true friend. I once was there myself as well you just need someone to pull you up when you feel down.
