Block 3
In the late 1800’s America Imigration Industrillization and Urbanization. People came to America because they want to start a new life with new jobs and new homes. Some of the people who imirgated to America were Europeans chinese Japanese Ireland Germans and Mexico ect. Even though imigrators didn’t only do most of the dirty jobs but they didn’t even get the chance to be treated fairly. Industrillization was the time when all the new inventions were being made factories, machines, ext. alexander Graham invented a world wide communicator. “steemstress, like factory workers work 12 or more hours a day,6 says a week.” Imployees were not intitled to vacations sick went for injuries softened on to the job. All these people that went to the cities had jobs.
Industriallization brought about many new inventions and jobs. New inventions tend to new jobs and factories. People were able to get better lives because of their jobs. There was more places for jobs. More buildings to turn into factories. Also during this time Thomas Edison invented a way to use electricity safly and cheeper! This was really important back then because they would have a lot of injuries because some workers worked at night with no light. This was very important as well because if the workers had more light they could work more. Which led to the owners from the factories have more sells and more machines for others to work on because they were safe now. Because of the lights they can work at night which ment that the number of injuries were reduced by having light in jobs with machines. This helped the people back in the days because eveyone who had a job must have had it for a good reason. In order for them to support their families or themselves they had to have a job. Saftey was never held at any factorie before the new invention of electricity! Families and friends

Block 1
While interviewing at South East High School a junior named Yareli Rochin was asked, “have you ever felt depressed?” and with a honest look she said, “yes and it sucks!”. She mentioned that it was a though thing to go threw but that every one goes threw it some time in their life. Yareli Rochin stated, “I sometimes felt depressed and sad because I would feel as if I was always on my own and like if no one cared about me or my life.” “It mad me sad all the time and ended up pulling me away from most of my friends.” Ms. Yareli Rochin stated, “while I was in my depressing moods I always had suicidal thoughts but luckily I had help from the counselors at the school.”
Noemi Martinez another student attending at S.H.E.S. who was also interviewed said, “young teenagers who try to kill themselves while going threw depression feel like doing it because they feel mad about something and think there is no solution for what is occurring.” Ms. Martinez said, “I even know a lot of my friends have gone and are still going threw depression, it sucks because as much as you want to help them they sometimes don’t want your help.” Noemi Martinez is a young girl who is very positive about life a girl who never lets anything bring her back into depression she helps guys and girls who feel themselves falling into depression. Ms. Martinez said, “if you open your heart to others god will open his doors for you.”
A young junior by the name of Nancy Munoz said, “it is very important to help a depressed friend get out of their negative circle because you would not want to see one of your close friends hurt or dead because they felt lonely.” Some tips Ms. Munoz gave were: be a friend, talk to them when they most need someone to listen to them, hang out with them, give hem good advice, show them wrong from right, and most important of all treat them how you would want to be treated if you were the one going threw depression. Ms. Munoz said, “there are many things to help someone with so they can feel more confident to ask someone for help when they need it.” Some girls or guys even cut themselves because they think it will take their pain away but that’s not the solution seeking for help is the best idea. Ms. Munoz stated, “I've gotten some of my friends who suffer from depression into some groups that help each other get out of their whole of depression and it feels good!”
Most girls write poems or even songs, some hear music to even let out their feelings and or expressions out. Its really hard to not be able to help a friend when told they don’t need you but deep down inside they do if you have a friend or maybe even two that have gone threw depression go ahead give them your full attention seek help for them be their true friend. I once was there myself as well you just need someone to pull you up when you feel down.
